Using The Right People
Fire Door Inspections
The Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) was launched as a joint venture by the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) in 2012 with the aim of transforming people’s knowledge about how and why fire doors work and the potential dangers of not complying with the statutory requirement and door manufacturer’s guidance and recommendations.
The scheme is the only one of its kind to provide a database of registered inspectors and a system that regularly audits their members for compliance.
By using FDIS Certified Inspectors we can assure our clients that we are providing the highest level of expertise and the latest record keeping techniques.
Fire Compartmentation Surveys
Although there is no single qualification that demonstrates the competence of an individual or organisation to carry out an inspection of the fire compartment lines and/or built in passive fire protection systems, there are numerous training courses available offering formal qualifications in the form of a diploma, which cover a wide range of topics and common deficiencies found across many different building types.
Although we value knowledge gained through years of experience within the PFP industry, personal experiences and/or an individual’s background can influence their decision making and actions.
Providing formal qualifications for individuals in our field of expertise affords our clients the peace of mind knowing they are in safe hands, receiving a survey report with objective impartial data for close review.
Fire Safety Consultancy
Using our trusted trading partners we are able to provide trained and highly qualified fire safety engineers/consultants to assist our clients with Fire Engineering design for Building Regulations compliance, Fire strategies for small, medium and more complex premises and Fire Risk Assessments.
Our Consultants/Engineers are all members of the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) and depending on our client’s unique requirements, the consultant put forward will hold the suitable qualification required for the task at hand.
